The Miscelanea gallery was founded in the heart of Barcelona’s Raval district in 2005. Part of its DNA has always been to discover new artists who have gone on to become established artists. Today the gallery no longer exists and only the shop remains, but the project is still considered a reference point in the city’s art scene.
For its tenth anniversary, Miscelanea asked us to develop a book/object containing 15 prints by some of the gallery’s most representative artists: Amaia Arrazola, Conrad Roset, Chamo San, Cinta Vidal, David Méndez Alonso, Elisa Munsó, Guim Tió, Joan Tarragó, Javier Rubín, Javier de Riba, Laura Agustí, Marina Capdevila, Marga López, Marta Veludo and Txemy, signed by their authors and numbered in an edition limited to 300 copies.
We made a black canvas box with black stamping and dry embossing, which contained both the book and the plates. We developed the entire project, from the interviews, translations and management of all the content with the more than 75 artists involved.
